I'd like to see my paper produce an RSS feed, I don't meant I want RSS feed based content in my paper, I wan't to pull the content of my paper from an RSS feed to easily view when I can't directly access the paper.li website (especially when I'm at work :-( )

I agree, a forwarding rss feature would increase your publishers.
I suppose that inserting the ads that pay for 'free' wouldn't be hard, but easy to disintermediate.

I'd love RSS feed too. I know there is FB, Twitter and so forth which one can share - but that doesn't add a feed to my total paper content. RSS feed is essential to display the content in blogs or websites.
I used "topsy.com" for my Twitter to RSS feed.
1. Just put in your twitter handle or hash tags:
Example: http://topsy.com/s?q=%80ehsdirector
2. Then select "RSS" on right widget column under share, etc..
Example: http://otter.topsy.com/searchdate.rss?q=%80ehsdirector&window=d53
Or you can just use above examples and replace "ehsdirector" with your handle.
Enjoy.
Hi Vítor,
thank you for your request. Unfortunately we cannot change the URL.
Papers created through a FB account always have a URL with "f" and a number. Only papers created through a Twitter account will show the Twitter user name and a number at the end. So you would need to start a new Paper.li account with your Twitter account (named Tertulia or TertuliaDiaria). But please note: The URL will always include a number at the end.
I hope this answers your question.
Best regards,
Birgit
Hello
I create this paper: http://paper.li/f-1350540336 - in the near future I will make it pro. Meanwhile, tell me how to change this URL to thia one:
http://paper.li/Tertulia or http://paper.li/TertuliaDiaria
Regards
Vítor
it's a no-brainer
from twitter>paper.li
from paper.li>twitter
http://paper.li/TMI_music/1344195560#

Thanks Birgit,
I suggested Tinyurl alike customization
so I can use http://tinyurl.com/NewsoftheGlobe
If RSS is "not planned" (from the top of this thread)
what about replacing subscriptions by publisher to RSS or on-the-fly generated html code, web page
listing content of the published papers (emailed daily)
btw
there is problem with your mailer and "support@apper.li" email address is not properly configured
===
and Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently:
support@paper.li
Technical details of permanent failure:
==
It looks like there is a bug entry in domain name redirection from "paper.li" to "smallrivers.com"
so email is not redirected.
I am still interested to work for you but there is no way to contact you via email (support@paper.li started to work)
I can provide you with a longer list of bugs spotted or already resolved.
One of the great bugs is so called Twitter "unfollow bug"
So Twitter user can either follow and unfollow you at the same time due to
a bug in database update query string by Twitter.
Contacted Twitter, not sure Twitter support is free to process my "unfollow bug" resolved - entry promptly.
I wish you all the best and propserity in private and business life.
Really great interactive media service by Paper.li SmallRivers.com
best regards,
Darius
you are free to email me:
dariusjack2006@yahoo.ie
since your mailer is down
Hi The Tech Terminal,
thank you for your request. In the beginning of our service we offered a URL just with the editor´s name. We needed to suspend that while we prepare a new naming convention that will allow users to be able to customize their URLs. It is on our list.
I hope this answers your question.
Best regards,
Birgit
Dixon, how DID you get a URL like paper.li/Dixon_Jones???
NIXON, very big job Thanks so much
I followed the instructions on creating the HTML for my RSS feed daily. See HTML below. How do I go about creating the RSS url for this. I am trying to add it to my ning.com site. Am I doing something wrong here?
Dear all,
thank you all for your continued interest in having an RSS feed for your Paper.lis. We are honestly sorry that due to our platform enhancements the solution that Dixon has created is not longer working. Currently we have not planned to deploy an own solution - also for copyright reasons.
Thank you for your understanding. We appreciate if you continue voting on this feature.
Dixon, again THANK YOU for your support!
Best regards,
Birgit
For Dixon, please. I tried the RSS feed using both your converter and Feedburner. For some reason, the feed is not picked up by different media. I sent a direct email to you but perhaps it went astray. The link converts and goes to a standard RSS feed page but there are no contents.
I really love the idea of the Paper.li RSS feed so any help is appreciated. http://paper.li/Cuppa_Countess/1328551354

Yeah I'm really thinking paper.li should have a go at this themselves. This has potentially quite a big impact for people. Coding it wont be hugely difficult given that its mostly already by paper.li anyway and it just needs a wee bit more to finish it off nicely for RSS and be available for everyone.
Hi Dixon, we've been using your excellent Paper.li to RSS converter for one of our sites and since the May 18th Paper.li upgrade the converter has not been working. Do you have any plans of updating it? Thanks for your time.
Wow, Dixon, again, thank you a lot for your support here! Much appreciated!
Unfortunately we still do not have a timeline for this feature I could tell you, Customer Feedback, I am sorry!
Best regards,
Birgit
Ah. Looks like it may have broken. That's the problem with free stuff! Never mind. I'll let you know if I get around to fixing it.
No problem! Glad it is getting used, to be honest.
Dixon, thanks for doing this. I had an RSS request for my paper as well. Your workaround saved what would have been an embarrassment. I have been totally impressed with paper.li thus far, but this was definitely missing.
Hi Birgit, any update on if/when we can see Paper.li outputting RSS Feeds that we can use? Are they planned. Dixon we tried your method, didnt quite work for us.
Dixon,
you rock, thank you for your support!
Have a nice day,
Birgit
Try adding </p> to the start of your code and then <p> to the end. You will be putting the code probably in the middle of what Paper.li thinjs should be text. That tells the page that something other than text is about to come, and then returns to the text after.
Thanks Dixon!. I've registered a feed through you and have it seems to have hooked up to feedburner. How did you implement the outgoing link in your "editor box"? I'd love to be able to use my feedburner linking. Noob coder and 1 bottle one wine in :D

For the past two days I have only been getting contact from the Atlantic even though I have at least 21 other publications in my twitter feed. This never happened before. What is going on and how can I get it fixed?
Hi Cannabis Training,
could you please submit a ticket ( http://support.paper.li/tickets/new ) and tell us the URL of your paper, we will take a look into it. Usually, our system supports most of the RSS types, for more information please view: http://support.paper.li/entries/20298571-how-to-add-an-rss-content-...
Best regards,
Birgit
What is the format that an rss feed should be in when you want to add it to your paper?
Is it just a url? I am not sure how to grab an rss feed off of a website.
Every time i try placing it in my paper it says it is an unrecognized format.
no go on RSS generators
There are lots of free RSS generators on the web. Anyone tried any of these? We'll give it shot and post results.
Any word on getting an RSS feed of our OWN personally generated papers? I would like to put the RSS feed on my class Edmodo page. www.edmodo.com Thanks.
I wasn't able to embed it in the Editor's Note but I'm not a developer either.
Hey Dixon,
Nice job, well done that man :-)
Dixon, that is great! This has been passed on to the team . I'll drop you a line via email.
Hi Kelly,
Thanks so much for a small team your doing a great job :-) looking forward to hearing of further developments
I also was able to embed the RSS feed directly onto my paper, albeit as a text link: http://paper.li/Dixon_Jones the RSS link is in the "Editor's Note".
I hope iy is helpful for people.
Hi Kelly,
We have built one for you (and for me) which is live now!
Everyone is welcome to use this....
http://labs.receptional.com/rss/paper.li/
). If Paper.li want to use it across all the sites, then please warn us as we'll reassess the bandwidth! But we are cerayinly open to putting some serious bandwidth behine it and working with Paper/li to monetize it. If it takes off, great. If you build your own - fairdos.
If - on the other hand - you want us to monetize this for you, i am pretty easy to find :)
Dixon.
Hi Lee, Hi Dixon,
Yes! It is still on the table and being discussed. We are analyzing different options and the reason it has not yet been implemented is not a question of revenue, or not. We are a small team and it takes us time to get to them. Rest assured, it is at the top of the discussion. Feel free to check back with me next week and perhaps I will have a more concrete answer.
When I saw your comment in my inbox there, Lee, I thught you were saying that they HAD implemented RSS feed output for our papers... but sadly not. I am thinking that Paper.li thinks this isn't revenue generating... but adverts can be in RSS feed output Paper.li! What self respecting online paper doesn't have ab RSS feed these days? Come on Mulhid Murtad :)
It;s great to see as of July this year we can add an RSS feed to our paper to be published, did this get missed somewhere along the line? Will we see an RSS output? Is it still on the table to be looked at?
Would love to see an RSS/ATOM feed added to my daily papers. Any news?
No movement in getting this implemented yet I'm guessing... waiting with baited breath, hopefully it's not too far away ! ?
I too would love to see this feature!
I also want to request this. I just had a reader say they couldn't find it. I was surprised I didn't have one! (shocked I tell you... free service and all!) :)
Looking forward to this feature! Thank you!
Any updates on this feature? Do you know when it may be implemented?
Me too! Seems like a pretty obvious tool to send the various news items back to your twitter feed.
This would be awesome for adding the feed to automatically post to Tumblr type blogs. A simple title post similar to what is pushed to twitter is published on my blog and anyone who clicks the link would also be re-directed to my paper.li
