"Publish It" posting proper credits with links

i am wondering if it would be possible for the "Publish it!" bookmarklet to capture the source title and URL and so that they could be displayed like the twitter source info is shown for articles, photos and videos.

as it is, everything that is added manually looks like i am the "author" no matter where it comes from, using of my name and avatar - this makes for an unclear and even misleading presentation which can be an issue (especially as far as photographer credit).

this feature would also be great for connecting added images to source articles - - as it is you don't have a clue as to where images have come from.  - - displaying the source in a pop up and with a link to the article would resolve that and prevent confusion.

additionally: a feature which allowed photo captions to be added would be awesome - perhaps another field in the "publish it" window where you could add a note?

thanks

I can agree, as long as "publisher" is not discredited for the article or the paper.  One of the main purposes of content aggregation and publishing is to build and serve the "publishers" community e.g., Google circles, Twitter followers, etc.  and to help build following, readership and the influence of the publisher.  The tweet that go out with papers publishing is of great value because it give credit to your @headliners.  This encourages these @headliners to interact with you the publisher.

I would like to see this solve simply by inserting "published by" to clarify the concern of who published.  When you link to the article, the author is quite evident.

Robert is absolutely right on all counts! All this should have high priority.
