Advertisement: Replace advertising with your own

You have probably noticed advertisements on your paper. Soon you will be able to remove these advertisements and replace them with your own. We are currently working on advertising models and will let our community know as soon as they are available!

Paper.li Pro offers full control over advertisements, plus the ability to extend your brand presence with a custom banner or logo upload on the masthead of the paper and the ability to review your paper before you send out your notifications.

Yes - me too. This will be very useful. I'd like to use your ads too when I don't have any of my own. But it will enable me to target the markets that interest me.

Would be good if the feature allowing adsense is introduced quickly. It can be so created that say one advertisement of the editor and one advertisement of paper.li simultaneously appear on the paper. It will be win-win for both in that case. Not that great money comes out of the advertisement. But even the statistics that come out of adsense account will be interesting to watch.

Hi, for our non commercial organization I am interested in a version without any ads at all. Can that be an option in the paid version? No ads at all? Love you service.

I agree Kathy. This great idea (paper.li) could come in a free ad embedded version and a paid one with own ads.
This is so awesome! I assume that advertising is an income stream for you guys. With the advent of managing our own advertising will we be facing a fee for using paper.li?

We are working hard to get it out! Currently we have it planned for after summer.
Our competitor's ads are showing up on our paper and it's causing us to pause from distributing it. Can anyone give us an ETA on when this will be corrected? Otherwise I have to delete my page altogether.

Since we are listing tweets for a higher ed institution, we would need to turn off advertising or have really good control over it.

Hi, Would be very interested. Some of the adverts that are appearing are not really appropriate for our audience and so cannot promote too widely although I think it is a great service. .

we are all really impatient :-)
It would also be nice if we could re-organise the layout, similar to the google homepage & yahoo homepage.
Each section could be moved to any part of the page. So for example, the media section with the videos, can be moved to the top of the headlines page.
Having said all of that - its a great thing your doing, but keep tweaking :)

In terms of timing, we are certainly aiming for sooner, rather than later! I can't give a hard date, but I can say that we are working extremely hard to bring out a model that will suit all of our publishers' needs.
I would like to see not just the ability to insert our own Google Ads, but rather, editable modules where the ads currently appear. Further, it would be great if these modules could accept HTML (just like the Editor's Note area). My paper is specific to certain Twitter users and therefore their products. I would like to make sure that I am only advertising their products and not what Google deems related.
That said, I love your service and I really appreciate you making it available for free:)
This will give a boost for paper.li and the owners of the newspapers. Mutal benefit for paper.li and the newspaper owners! Can you tell us when you plan to introduce this?

I currently use google ads on my website and would like to display my google ads on the paper. Should have a section to input the google publisher id perhaps?

Just submitted a question about this. We have an issue with competitor's ads showing on our paper.li. We have stopped sending it out until this can be fixed. Hope this will be starting soon!
