Control Center: Set your publishing schedule

For papers using Automatic Publishing, your publishing schedule determines how often automatically fetches new content from the sources you've added to your paper content settings.  Each newly created update is called a new published edition of your paper.

Edit your publishing schedule for your paper

To edit your publishing schedule, from your Paper Settings Dashboard, click on the Control Center button to access all publishing (and promoting) controls.

From the Control center, click the Publishing Section to edit.  When your publishing section is set to Auto, you can update your:

  • update frequency (twice daily every day or select individual days you wish to publish)
  • update hour
  • time zone

Note that publishers are only able to select within the hour and not the exact minute a paper is published due to the fact we need to balance the load on our platform.

A new published edition will be automatically created according to your publishing schedule.

Pro papers can switch to Manual Publishing, which deactivates the automatic publishing/updating schedule and allows the publisher to create a draft offline and publish it online when it's ready.

Manual Publishing allows a publisher complete control of when and how often new content is fetched and what content is placed on the final online edition of the paper.

Access your Publishing Schedule on News Page App (on a WIX site)

Using the News Page App on your WIX site?  To get to your publishing schedule, go to your WIX Paper Settings Dashboard > Global settings > Publishing schedule.

What next?  If you would like to curate content or show your menus in a language other than English, be sure to read about your paper's language settings.

If you don't need to modify your language settings, skip ahead and learn how to perfect your content.
