Requirement

This feature is only available for Pro papers with a custom domain URL.

Why would I want to include CSS in my Pro Paper?

Adding pre-written CSS code snippets into your CSS Editor enables you to make many additional customizations that are not offered in the Paper Settings Dashboard.  For example, a small pre-written code snippet copied and pasted into your CSS editor will allow you to hide the subscription box, the date, or change the color of the subtitle.

Do I need to learn how to write the CSS code to make these changes?

There is no need to learn CSS to make these changes.   All you need to do is pick and choose what modifications you need and then copy and paste the code snippets from our list into your CSS editor to make the modifications.

Available code snippets

Browse through our list of pre-written code snippets below or use the search bar to search for a key word (i.e. title, date, subscription box, etc) and find the code.

To access your CSS editor:

  • From your Paper Settings Dashboard > Web NewspaperLayout & appearance > Look & feel > Custom CSS to access your CSS editor.

  • Click Screen Shot 2014-02-11 at 10.47.52 PM.png.

IMPORTANT: We aren't able guarantee the custom design of your paper due to CSS code you add.   Although we don't make CSS changes in code often, any changes made by Paper.li to the standard CSS may break your custom design. It's important that you check your paper regularly.
