You tell us what what type of content or topics you would like us monitor and we round it up as often as you wish, and present it to you in the form of an online newspaper. Then we send out email alerts, Tweets and social posts on your behalf letting your community know when the latest edition of fresh content is online.

We save you the time and hassle of manually scouring the web (and multiple sources) to find the content you're looking for and deliver it to you automatically, as often as you wish.

Online content curation is the organizing, filtering, presenting and sharing of the most relevant digital content for a specific audience. Since Paper.li papers are essentially news aggregators that present content already appearing elsewhere on the web, the power of paper.li is much more on the resourcing and distribution of content, rather than the SEO.

What are you doing to give credit where credit is due?

Publisher: a publisher of a paper is recognized by their own community for delivering good, topic relevant content when it saves them their own time in going out and finding it themselves.

The recognition a publisher receives can come in many different ways: views of their paper, open rates on emails, RTs, shares and last, but not least, a good old fashioned "thank you" from someone who appreciates the content they curate.

News Spotter: a News Spotter is someone who shares a url that is curated into a paper. A News Spotter is recognized for the content they share with a @username mention in a Promo-Tweets and the tweet being displayed alongside the image, video or article.

Site or Author of content: Content authors and sites can count on traffic being driven back to them with a direct link back to the hosting article or site from a paper at any time.

What about mentions and @replies on Twitter. Am I "spamming" my followers?

We believe that recognition to everyone involved in the curation process is important, and we let you decide if you will tweet automatically, or manually.

If you choose to promote your paper automatically, we will help you by selecting mentions for your News Spotters for that edition. If you choose to promote your Paper.li manually, you easily modify the tweet and choose your own News Spotter mentions and text for that edition.

For automatic promotional tweets, we have a 48 hour "one tweet policy" in place: no News Spotter will be mentioned more than once with a 48 hour period. This is to make certain that mentions don't get out of control.

What if News Spotters don't want to be mentioned?

Anyone that does not want to be mentioned in a Paper.li promo-tweet can send us a tweet @newscrier and they will be automatically blacklisted from mentions.

Lastly, Paper.li publishers can also blacklist News Spotters directly from their paper. So if you find the content you tweeted curated into a paper, but prefer not to be a part of that publisher's future online editions, drop them a tweet and ask that they place you on their paper's blacklist.

What if blogger or content provider doesn't want his or her content to be published?

We cannot control Tweeps from sharing public content, but we can control what shows up for discovery on the pages of a Paper.li.

Any site owner that doesn't wish to have traffic driven to their website can contact us and ask to be blacklisted. We will make sure that their site's domain is no longer processed on the pages of a Paper.li.
