    Maria-Helena Miranda  I do agree with your statement.  At present I have to delete a lot unwanted stuff. Very time consuming.  Also the items that should be in one paper for example The Weather or Beaches are on the others papers. I am trying to keep the themes separated yet everything is mixed together.

    The State papers should just be on State affairs as well as the USA Paper" National" or world paper on world affairs. yet I get beach content on papers that I am trying to maintain very clean and proper. State Department White House etc. I don't know what to do. Its been a real struggle from the get-go. I am hoping that the next phase will fix these issues or it will not be worthwhile the time. I would like it to work someday soon. Thank you Lena

    Yes, please. The feature can be similar to when we are ticking emails to delete them.

    Adding this multiple delete and multiple block feature would be amazing. Each week, I estimate it would save me an hour of time deleting inappropriate content.

    Being able to multi-select before deleting would be a big time-saver. It would also be interesting to right-click an item and get a report of "why is this here?". Which keyword or twitter list or source is causing it to show up, so we can consider changing that source. In the Excel Daily News, I frequently find that the first 8 videos are correct, but then there are another 20 videos that have nothing to do with Excel. Being able to multi-select the 20 videos would be great. Being able to figure out why they are showing up in the first place would also help. Thanks.

    Hello all,

    Just to give you an update, this feature is currently "next up for review" which means the tech team is looking into its feasibility and the time required to complete.

    @Bill,

    Regarding your comment about understanding where content comes from, I just wanted to point out that we do show this information.

    Under and article, image, or video, there is the "shared by" icon.  If you click on it:

    Screen_Shot_2013-10-28_at_11.10.54_AM_2.png

    You should see the tweet,  facebook or G+ post that was used to pull in the item.

    Screen_Shot_2013-10-28_at_11.12.19_AM.png

    For an RSS feed, it will show like this:

    Screen_Shot_2013-10-28_at_11.15.37_AM_2.png

    And if you added the item via the bookmarklet, it will show your name and avatar.

    That information should help you understand where your sources are coming from.

    Best, Julia

    I too spend extra time editing inappropriate content and foreign sources from people I have no connection to. This is really embarrassing when I go to edit after the paper is published. Many Porn sites and foreign sites are prevalent in my content. These are sites I never visit. I want a way to block streams I seem to be in...

    Please move this up the priority list. It would save us a lot of time and really take the drudgery out of updating a daily paper.

    We will be addressing this issue next...

    @Gwindy:  I took a peek at your paper to see why porn might be sneaking its way into your paper.  The only possible way that porn is being pulled in is through a twitter keyword search you have in your sources. Towards the bottom of your sources, I see a keyword search on twitter for "youtube".    This means you are asking us to pull in any tweet with the text "youtube" in the tweet.  I imagine the porn is being pulled in this way.

    You might want to either delete that keyword search or add some additional filters to the search.

    Do your developers like chocolate? I'm willing to send some of Martha's Vineyard famous Chilmark Chocolates to your dev team if they get his done.

    @Kathleen (or Ken?!)

    Yes!  I don't control the roadmap so I can't make any promises but I have passed on your comment to our team and have backed up your request with my own opinion regarding the priority of this improvement (As a publisher myself, I know how painful editing the content of a paper can be.)

    I think this improvement will be coming soon.
